Itakura Hospital, which is responsible for regional medical care in Funabashi, and Frontier Field, a hospital smartphone company, have signed an agreement to promote hospital DX, and will collaborate on new function development, implementation, and verification.

We are pleased to announce that we have concluded an agreement with Itakura Hospital (location: Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, Chairman and Director: Takahiro Kajiwara, hereinafter referred to as “Itakura Hospital”) regarding the promotion of hospital DX. This is the first agreement for Frontier Field with a hospital. *

Frontier Field is a smartphone service exclusively for medical institutions that includes terminals, lines, and dedicated
applications, “Nichibyou Mobile (URL:
https://www.frontierfield.co.jp/services/mobile/
)” and promote work style reform in the medical field. “Nichibyou Mobile” is equipped with functions required in medical settings as standard, such as nurse call, electronic medical record linkage, group chat, emergency call function, and remote management of terminals. Its operation creates a safe and secure environment with a high level of security, and it is currently being used by more than 30,000 medical professionals at 66 facilities nationwide (including those scheduled to be introduced). Itakura Hospital is a medium-sized urban hospital with close ties to the community as a functionally enhanced home care support hospital and emergency notification hospital in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture. Funabashi City has the largest population of 645,000 people as a core city and health center designated city, but there are nine secondary emergency hospitals, which is a lack of medical infrastructure compared to the population. We are facing the issue of securing the following. Under such circumstances, Itakura Hospital became the first hospital in Japan to introduce “Nipponyō Mobile” in 2020 as part of infrastructure improvements due to the suspension of PHS service. After the introduction, we not only used the calling function as an alternative to PHS, but also utilized functions such as group chat that are unique to smartphones. As a result, we succeeded in smoothing communication among employees and improving work efficiency, resulting in a turnover rate of almost 0%. We have reduced meeting time and strengthened recruitment*.
Itakura Hospital will continue to promote hospital DX in the future, leading to improvements in staff and patient satisfaction, and as a hospital responsible for local medical care in Funabashi City, we aim to further enhance medical services.

Based on this background and track record, Frontier Field and Itakura Hospital have concluded this agreement to further promote hospital DX. Through this agreement, both parties will work together to develop new services and consider and implement new functions, with the aim of making Itakura Hospital a model hospital for advanced hospital DX. In addition, Itakura Hospital will not only be accepting patients for hospital DX system construction, but will also be accepting people who wish to tour the hospital DX site, as well as presenting case studies at lectures and academic conferences.
Frontier Field will continue to improve the convenience and value of Nichibyou Mobile, and support the promotion of medical DX in order to improve operational efficiency and work style reform at medical institutions.
