On March 25, 2024, Santen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City, hereinafter referred to as Santen) received a notification from Akira Kurokawa, the company’s representative director and chairman, to resign as representative director on March 31, 2024. Therefore, we would like to inform you about the change of
representative director as follows.
(1) Reason for transfer (resignation)
This is because we are now in a position to strengthen execution, which we have been working on since the transfer in June 2022. (2) Details of the change (as of April 1, 2024)

There will be no change to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. Due to his resignation, Tsuyoshi Ito (Representative Director, President and CEO) will be the representative director of the Company from April 1, 2024 onwards.
