[Comment from the person in charge of the Human Resources Department DE&I team] This time, the second time since last year, the theme was “Let’s learn about the health and career of working women,” and the content incorporated career elements so that women’s health and career could be considered as a set.
We plan to continue these kinds of initiatives in the future, with the aim of getting not only women themselves but also those around them to consider this issue more closely.

[Voices from participants]
Mr. Nishibe’s message about life really touched my heart because he had actually experienced it.
I wanted to be more proactive in communicating that I am in a supportive position.
It was refreshing to hear the message that it’s okay to talk to your boss and colleagues about balancing infertility treatment and work. I thought it would be an opportunity to create a positive flow within the company for those who are currently involved and those who will be involved in the future.

In addition to fostering a corporate culture related to DE&I, including initiatives on International Women’s Day, we also set KPIs for actively hiring women and promoting them to managerial positions, and encourage employees to work autonomously and continuously, even when they are raising children. We are creating an environment that allows our students to thrive.
In terms of environmental improvements and systems, we are the first in the trading company industry to introduce full flextime, telework, a babysitter dispatch business discount coupon system, and a childcare leave system. Regarding special leave related to childcare, we believe that promoting gender-neutral childcare will lead to the advancement of women, so we have created a system (hello baby leave) that can be used by both men and women, and employees can take up to eight weeks of paid leave, twice the amount required by law. It is possible. One of Kanematsu’s key issues (materiality) is “creating an environment that supports diverse work styles.” In promoting human capital management, we will continue to create a workplace environment where everyone can work more comfortably and demonstrate their abilities by respecting and nurturing diverse human resources, including women, and their values and ideas. I’ll come.
