Fujifilm Business Innovation Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Naoki Hama) is a 50/50 joint venture between Fujifilm and Ripcord Inc. (Headquarters: California, USA, CEO: Sam Fahmy). RIPCORD LLC (head office: Ashigarakami-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture, CEO: Koichi ) will become a consolidated subsidiary as of March 29, 2024. Through the equity transfer agreement entered into with Ripcord of the U.S., our stake in Fujifilm RIPCORD will increase to 77.5%.
Fujifilm RIPCORD is a company established in 2020 as a joint venture between Fujifilm and Ripcord of the U.S.A. It is a cloud service that uses robotics technology and AI to digitize large amounts of paper documents at high speed, and automatically extracts and sorts data. We offer With our strengths in high productivity and quality in document digitization and a data viewing environment that allows all documents to be searched smoothly and securely, we have contributed to the digital shift in administrative agencies, local governments, and companies. This time, in order to realize end-to-end DX for our customers, we are making decisions based on the increasing importance of Fujifilm RIPCORD, which converts customers’ large volumes of paper documents into valuable data and supports the use of that data.
