Saga Creation, a general incorporated association, has planned the [Umi and Japan PROJECT Collaboration Ichabo] together with Shunsaisha Satoyama, which supports the purpose of the Umi and Japan Project, and will open the Satoyama store in Mise Village, Saga Prefecture, and It will be sold from December 2023 at kitchen car stalls at events in the prefecture. It was scheduled to be sold for a limited time until the end of January, but due to popular demand, the sale will be extended until the end of March, and we will be able to offer Ikabo, which is made with Saga’s seafood “Yobuko Squid”, to even more people. This collaborative menu project is part of the Nippon Foundation’s “Ocean and Japan Project,” which connects people through the ocean in order to pass on the rich and beautiful ocean to the next generation.

Shunsaisha Satoyama is located in Mise Village, located at an altitude of 400 meters on the prefectural border between Fukuoka City and Saga City. As you pass through the tunnel at the prefectural border, “THE countryside” opens up in your field of vision. Located just over 50 minutes by car from Tenjin in Fukuoka Prefecture, Mise Village is ideal for driving, and many people from outside the prefecture visit Mise Village on weekends for shopping, dining, and relaxation. Satoyama’s store sells local Saga vegetables, side dishes made from those vegetables, and safe, handmade natural seasonings. This time, Satoyama agrees with the purpose of UmiPro and has made the popular product “Gasbo (super long coarsely ground sausage)” into “sea” specifications! Speaking of Saga’s seafood, “Yobuko squid” is the name of the game, so we have developed an original product “Ikabo” that uses a generous amount of Yobuko squid. Sales will begin in December 2023 at events and stores in the prefecture, and it has been very popular with everyone from children to the elderly. Even after the sale is extended until the end of March, we will continue to consider selling the product if there is a request for resale. -Collaboration overview-
