Additional events will be held due to numerous requests. ■With the rapid spread of digital technology that targets vulnerabilities in the attack surface of the rapidly increasing number of cyber attacks, many companies and organizations are developing their businesses on digital infrastructure. While the spread of the Internet and cloud services, the increase in the number of IoT (Internet of Things) devices, and the use of technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence are progressing, malicious criminals are repeating cyberattacks that target these vulnerabilities. In recent years, the range of targets targeted by cyberattacks, the so-called “attack surface,” has been increasing. ■It has become more difficult to understand IT assets such as websites launched by each department and to take company-wide vulnerability countermeasures.Many attackers first start by disclosing information that is publicly available or externally accessible via the Internet. On the other hand, when various departments within an organization have launched a large number of sites (domains), it may not be possible to keep an inventory of them, or it may not be possible to grasp the latest status of a large number of IT assets. Failure to properly understand these issues and implement company-wide countermeasures will ultimately lead to an increased risk of security incidents such as cyber attacks.
■Explaining how to strengthen security using “ASM (Attack Surface Management)” in four steps How can you understand and manage the ever-increasing attack surface of your organization’s IT assets? In this seminar, we will propose “ASM (Attack Surface Management)” as a solution. ASM is an indispensable measure for future security enhancement, as it investigates information on IT assets that can be accessed from the outside (the Internet) and continuously evaluates the vulnerabilities that exist in them. We will explain the challenges in visualizing external IT assets and the importance of ASM, as well as explain how to implement ASM in four easy-to-understand steps, including specific methods related to ASM.
