Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the Company) will undergo organizational reforms and personnel changes in executive positions as of April 1, 2024.
1. Main points
・As part of our efforts to prevent recurrence of the authentication fraud issue, we will establish two new functions under the direct control of the company. In addition to steadily promoting the “Recurrence Prevention Measures”, we will strengthen our audit system and promote efforts to ensure correct car manufacturing. 2. Overview of the new organization
(1) “Three Pledges” Reform Promotion Department
・In order to strongly promote recurrence prevention, the role of a “pacemaker” will be promoted by encouraging collaboration between divisions that transcend functional boundaries, and by incorporating the perspectives of external members such as lawyers, and leading the way in implementing measures. .
– We will collaborate with Toyota Motor Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Toyota) on measures to prevent recurrence, and also promote mutual learning activities with the Toyota Group and others. (Hiromasa Hoshika, representative director and vice president, also serves as general manager)
(2) GRC* Promotion Department
・We will promote cross-company comprehensive management of governance, risk management, and compliance in order to strengthen internal audit functions throughout the company. In addition, we will evaluate and analyze the information gathered from each department within the company, report and table the results to the newly established GRC Committee, and take action based on the decisions made by the committee.
・We will further promote personnel/business/information collaboration with Toyota and strengthen the governance functions of the company as a whole. *GRC: Abbreviation for Governance Risk Management and Compliance
