The Taiwanese special issue of “CREA” with Taiwanese member NICHOLAS of &TEAM on the cover is sold out!
*Following last year’s Korea special issue, the spring issue is sold out for the second consecutive year*
Bungeishunju Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kioicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) The spring 2024 issue (released on March 7th) of the lifestyle magazine “CREA” published by Shigeyuki Iikubo (President: Shigeyuki Iikubo), “I have to go to Taiwan,” has sold out.
“CREA” Spring 2024 issue
Since its launch in 1989, “CREA” has been published as a one-theme magazine targeting curious women. This time, for the first time in four years, we are featuring a special feature on over 90 pages about Taiwan, which has evolved into a healthy country after the coronavirus pandemic.

The cover, opening gravure, and binding appendix SPECIAL PHOTO CARD include HYBE LABELS, a subsidiary of HYBE that includes BTS and SEVENTEEN.
NICHOLAS, a Taiwanese member of the global group “&TEAM” who debuted as the first artist from JAPAN, will appear. The article about traveling around Taiwan with 21-year-old NICHOLAS, who returned to his hometown for the first time in three years, received a great response from fans both domestically and internationally.
Newly drawn work by noted manga artist Takayoshi

In addition, there is a four-page project that explores the world of works by Taiwanese manga artist and illustrator Gao Yan, whose work “Midori no Uta -Collection Gunpu-” is attracting attention. In the gourmet and shopping fields, we offer everything from “beautiful daily necessities made in Taiwan” to “food select shops.
“Feeling the Spirit of Divine Nong Life” “Foody’s New Taiwanese Cuisine Now” “BOOK IN BOOK”
It covers everything from “New Standard Taipei Gourmet Food” to “New Standard Taipei Gourmet Food” and also includes introductions to local areas such as Chiayi, Daxi, and Taichung. It has been well received, with people saying, “It’s not only something beginners can enjoy, but it also has restaurants that will impress Taiwanese connoisseurs.”

This is the first time in a year that “CREA” has been sold out since last year’s spring issue, “Now, Korea is evolving!” This is the second year in a row that the magazine has been sold out, even as magazines are suffering from a recession.

■Comment from “CREA” Editor-in-Chief Aya Izaki
I’m really happy that it’s sold out for the second year in a row, following last year’s Korean special. Due to the weak yen, overseas travel has become more difficult for Japanese people. Why do you still travel?
What can you experience only by going out in real life that you can’t get online?
The way we create our magazines is also changing. In the past, when we thought of Asia, we thought of it as a “advantageous travel destination,” and information about gourmet food and shopping dominated the pages, but now the changes in Taiwanese society that lie behind this are also reflected through photos of cityscapes and interviews with people who are responsible for revitalizing the town. I’m trying to get it out.
This issue also includes an article introducing Taiwan as a leading femme region. In addition, the “Taiwan Street Walking MAP” that covers all the spots in the special feature is available on Google. Linked with MAP (editorial staff uses Google
(All coverage locations are pointed out on the map), so even those new to Taiwan can easily travel around Taiwan with just a smartphone. Since it covers all the shooting locations of &TEAM’s NICHOLAS, it has been praised as “Excellent as a recommended activity map!” We hope that you will continue to look forward to the content of “CREA”, which considers “What can magazines do now?” and disseminates it.
