……
The “SDGs Japan Scholarship Iwasa Award” is a recognition project for individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions in the 17 areas of the SDGs set forth by the United Nations.
There are several categories such as education, environment, and economy, but Get in touch, a general incorporated association, won the award in the “peace and human rights” category.
As a pro bono organization that aims to realize a “mixed society” where no one is excluded, we are grateful for the recognition of our ongoing efforts to recognize diversity and create a society that “leaves no one behind” as advocated by the SDGs. I am very happy and honored to have been able to do so.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart! When I started my social activities as an individual in 1992, there were whispers and articles about my work in magazines such as “It’s just a performance,” “Is it because I’m running for office?” and “I’m trying to increase my popularity.”
I tried to keep my activities as inconspicuous as possible, but in 2011 I made up my mind. I started the Get in touch activity with my fellow activists and incorporated it the following year. My motivation for this project came when I learned about the reality of people (minorities) who are already facing hardships in life being forced into a corner at an evacuation center following the Great East Japan Earthquake.
In order to convey the need for a “mazekoze society” to many people, we have shifted from lectures and symposia activities to entertainment activities, and have placed importance on connecting with other organizations, companies, governments, schools, and ministries. . This activity requires money as a tool and money as energy. Therefore, we have applied for a number of grant support contents. However, many projects were rejected because “Entertainment is not directly supported, so it is difficult to evaluate” and “The impact cannot be quantified.”
Still, let’s convey social issues and the comfort of diversity through art, music, stage, and video! And push on. And this time, I won the Iwasa Prize. This is an award of hope for the future. I’m as happy as a dream.
All of the prize money will be used for the production, distribution, and PR of the social comedy suspense film “Matsuri no Ato Ato no Matsuri ~ Mazekoze Troupe Murder Case ~” which we are currently working on.
From now on, I will tighten my guard again and proceed boldly and carefully! Thank you, continue!

[About the general incorporated association Get in touch]
The company started its activities in 2011 and became a corporation in 2012. Established by actor Chizurra Higashi. Through entertainment such as art, music, video, and stage play, we are working to create a “mixed society” where no one is excluded. In addition to naming World Autism Awareness Day on April 2nd as “WarmBlue Day,” we are developing the “WarmBlue Campaign,” which calls on companies and local governments to “dye Tokyo blue,” as well as holding a stage event called “Moonlit Night” where minority performers gather. There is a lot of content such as “No Karakuri House~Mazekoze Troupe~”, the movie “I Am Over the Rainbow” which collects real voices of LGBTQ people, and “MAZEKOZE Art” which connects the artworks of disabled artists with society. Talks and group sessions with people who are facing difficulties in life such as “It’s hard to live! Everyone gather!” and “Snack ★ Get ~Chiimama Chizuru~” are also available on YouTube.
