I love cosmetics and want to work in the beauty industry…but I don’t know how to work in the beauty industry, and I don’t have any industry knowledge or connections…I want to support girls who love cosmetics to succeed as professionals in the beauty industry!
The Japan Cosmetic Professionals Association (hereinafter referred to as JCPA) was born from the thoughts of representative director Yumiko Kuwahara.
Additionally, Kuwabara, who has been active as a PR advisor for 34 years, felt first-hand that the number of professionals in the beauty industry was decreasing, which was one of the key factors behind the establishment of JCPA. For example, when writing articles about cosmetics, Kuwabara sometimes hears comments such as “The number of writers who write articles without evidence has increased,” and “There are editors who are particular about technique and design but write articles with little content.” This gave rise to a passion for developing human resources who could immediately work in the beauty industry.
JCPA is currently working hard to develop beauty professionals through beauty courses. Currently, the Beauty PR Advisor Course and Beauty Writer/Editor Course are being offered, and preparations are underway for the Cosmetic Planner Course and Cosmetic Marketer Course. After completing the course, we would like to match participants with companies as employment support so that they can immediately turn their passion into work.
What we are aiming for is a future where many of our graduates can take advantage of their passion and enjoy working in the beauty industry. We believe that by contributing to raising the level of skills in the beauty industry, JCPA graduates, as beauty
professionals, can create a world where people think of Japan when it comes to cosmetics.
“April Dream” is a project by PR TIMES where companies broadcast their dreams that they hope to achieve someday on April 1st. We are seriously aiming to make this dream come true.
