April Dream Project
**
Reform the working environment where people suffer from [back pain and postural stress]! We quantify “workload” and promote work style reform in an aging society.
*”PosCheck” automatically determines the postural load of the worker just by taking pictures with a 3D camera. Utilizing AI and the OWAS method algorithm, we visualize the causes of workers’ back pain and areas for improvement in the work environment. *
This press release is a dream sent out by a business operator who sympathizes with the April Dream project and wants to make April 1st a day full of dreams, hoping to make them come true soon.
* Our company supports April Dream, which aims to make April 1st the day to share your dreams. This press release is a dream of the Bionet Institute. *

Bionet Institute is an ODM (Original Design Maker) of measuring equipment, medical equipment, AI/IoT equipment.
】is. The aim is to create new innovation businesses in Japan by integrating biology, engineering, AI and IoT technologies.
The automatic workload measurement system “PosCheck” that we are introducing this time is useful for establishing a safety and health management system and solving social issues such as industrial accidents and back pain problems.
Aiming to create a safe workplace where everyone can work comfortably Our dream at Bionet Research Institute is to create a safe work environment where everyone can work comfortably. We use biology, engineering, AI, and IoT technologies to address various social issues, such as the increasing number of occupational accidents among elderly workers, the need to improve the environment as women enter the workforce, and labor shortage issues. We would like to take on the challenge of solving problems.

Occupational accidents among elderly workers have increased
significantly, and improving the working environment has become a major social issue
According to materials released by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and data provided by the Statistics Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, the number of employed elderly people aged 65 and over has increased for the 19th consecutive year, reaching a record high of 9.12 million, making elderly people the largest proportion of the total number of employed people. The ratio also reached a record high of 13.6%.
Along with this, according to the industrial accident analysis data of the Japan Industrial Accident Prevention Association, the number of occupational accidents caused by falls, reactionary movements, and forced work among elderly workers is increasing year by year. In particular, lower back pain is an occupational injury that accounts for 60% of occupational illnesses that result in four or more days off work.
The results of these statistical data show that it is essential for each company to create a working environment where elderly people can work safely, and that this is an important social issue.

Prevention points according to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s “Guidelines for Preventing Back Pain”
https://www.mhlw.go.jp/content/11300000/001103961.pdf

Low back pain is an industrial accident that accounts for 60% of occupational diseases. Corporate risk assessment becomes important The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s “Guidelines for Preventing Back Pain in the Workplace” states that establishing a management system and risk assessment are important. Risk assessment involves finding out the factors that lead to lower back pain depending on the content of each job, evaluating the magnitude of the risk of the job based on the expected degree of load on the lower back, work frequency, etc., and identifying those with a high risk. This method considers and implements countermeasures from the start. (Excerpt from the prevention points from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare’s “Guidelines for Preventing Back Pain”)

It is important to understand and improve the working conditions of workers. Understanding work conditions and managing safety are necessary to prevent back pain, improve the working environment, and avoid danger for workers, not just the elderly. PosCheck, an automatic workload measurement system, uses a 3D camera to capture the human skeleton three-dimensionally and quantify postural loads, helping to visualize the causes of accidents, avoid danger, and improve the environment.

Past efforts and achievements
We would like to introduce Bionet Research Institute’s efforts regarding back pain issues and safety and health management. To date, PosCheck has been used in a variety of settings, including factories and work facilities of major construction machinery manufacturers and major listed companies, as well as hospitals and universities.
In addition, as part of Kanagawa Prefecture’s “Reiwa 4 New Virus Infectious Disease Control Robot Implementation Project,” Kanagawa Prefecture, Shonan Kamakura General Hospital, and NSK Corporation are jointly conducting a demonstration experiment to reduce workload using robots. We are undertaking various initiatives such as:

*The demonstration experiment begins at around 3 minutes and 12 seconds into this video.

In this experiment, the burden on the stretcher, which had previously been carried by hand, was reduced by introducing a transport assist robot, and PosCheck was able to visualize the burden reduction numerically.

Certified by the Tokyo Metropolitan Trial Order Certification System In addition, PosCheck will be available in 2025 [Tokyo Trial Order Certification System *Tokyo Official Homepage]
], and we have taken this opportunity to introduce our products to Tokyo Metropolitan University, Tokyo Metropolitan Rehabilitation Hospital, and Tokyo Metropolitan Hanabatake Gakuen.
In this way, PosCheck, which can quantify workload, is useful for DX in various places such as occupational safety and health departments, factories, warehouses, and other workplaces, as well as hospitals, nursing care facilities, universities, sports and training gyms, etc. Helpful.

Our aim is to create a safe working environment.
There are many challenges to implementing and implementing measures for safety management and industrial accidents, and it takes time. In the future, Bionet Research Institute will continue to work to resolve issues in order to create a safe workplace where everyone can work comfortably.
With PosCheck, it is also possible to arrange the system and safety evaluation items according to the characteristics of the company implementing it.
If you are considering introducing PosCheck, please feel free to contact us. “April Dream” is a project by PR TIMES in which companies broadcast their dreams that they hope to eventually come true on April 1st. we are here
I am seriously aiming to realize my dream.
