This wish may seem obvious, but in Japan, when children enter elementary school, the risk of sexual crimes increases by
approximately 6.4 times (Note 1) compared to when they were
preschoolers. Looking at the occurrence of sexual crimes by time of day, when children go to and from school, Children under the age of 13 are targeted at times when they are most likely to be alone after school, and children under the age of 13 are concentrated on their way to and from school on weekdays, especially between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. (Note 2). There is a need to resolve issues such as the time and location of students commuting to and from school, which is known as the “white space.”
Our representative, Ono, experienced sexual assault at the age of 4 by a stranger passing by. When my own daughter reached the same age, she suddenly became afraid, and when she bought a picture book on crime prevention measures at a bookstore, she learned that the crime prevention measures that had not changed since then, such as “If you see someone suspicious, shout out” and “run away”, “This is no way to protect you.” Feeling a sense of crisis, we started developing SASENAI.
While the risks of sexual crimes are familiar, the process for victims to seek justice is fraught with difficulties. Secondary damage, such as questioning, evidence collection, and long trial periods, places a heavy physical and mental burden on victims.
VxTech will utilize the lessons learned from Ono’s experience to do our best to create a society where children can grow up with peace of mind, and to spread the dream of “no crime” not only in Japan but also around the world. .

Appropriate crime prevention actions such as contacting parents, sounding a buzzer, and reporting to the police can be taken instantly and simultaneously. SASEAI also prepares a situation report and notifies parents.
