In the chemicals business, we are building an environmentally friendly business under CIP2025. For example, we are engaged in a variety of initiatives, both large and small, such as participating in a Chilean lithium compound manufacturing project and developing biodegradable resins.

Biodegradable resins are ultimately decomposed into water and carbon dioxide by the action of microorganisms, so they do not need to be recovered and contribute to improved agricultural efficiency. In 2022, Chori entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Beijing Blue Crystal Microorganisms (China) and is working to develop the market for the company’s marine biodegradable polymer “Bluepha” in Japan.
