Press release: April 1, 2024
**
We will digitize the meet ticket in the meet tourism promotion project. The city will provide meet tickets for the meet tourism business using regionPAY, which is easy to use and has a proven track record in many local governments to support travel nationwide.
In addition, we will use regionPAY to pay out the national childbirth and childcare support benefits, and our city is the first municipality in the country to use regionPAY on a daily basis for multiple projects.
Until now, stores that could use the tickets had to collect
paper-based meet tickets and bring them along with the request form to the Miyakonojo Tourism Association, but by digitizing them, the burden on stores, etc. to exchange them for cash will be reduced.
Additionally, previously users could only use the service in 1,000 yen increments, but from now on they will be able to use it in 1 yen increments, and will also be able to search for stores where the service can be used on the app.
Furthermore, the Miyakonojo Tourism Association, which is the secretariat, will be able to analyze data and contribute to the promotion of cashless payments in the region.
