“Uma Tabi” is distributed at horse riding clubs, tourist facilities, public facilities, educational institutions, etc. across the country with the aim of popularizing horse riding in Japan and promoting the success of retired horses.
The Japan Horse Riding Promotion Association, a specified non-profit organization, produces the free magazine “Uma Tabi” with the aim of popularizing horse riding and encouraging the formation of second and third careers for retired horses. Currently, the Japan Horseback Riding Promotion Association currently holds a thoroughbred Gewurz (born in Kagoshima Prefecture, 8 years old, stabled in Okayama Prefecture) who was deemed incapable of racing and was unable to become a racehorse, and a retired racehorse born in Ireland who became a racehorse in Japan. We are continuing to support the retraining of two Satonogrians (born in Ireland, 7 years old, stabled in Aichi Prefecture) so that they can play an active role as “riding horses” as a second career.
