Hacobu Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President and CEO Taro Sasaki, hereinafter referred to as “Hacobu”) will operate on April 10th (Wednesday), 11th (Thursday), and 12th (Friday), 2024. We will be exhibiting at the 5th Kansai Logistics Exhibition, which will be held at Intex Osaka for two days.
From April 1st, regulations on overtime work for truck drivers will begin. The “Logistics 2024 Problem,” which concerns a shortage of transportation capacity due to a decrease in working hours, has become an issue.
In February 2024, the government made a Cabinet decision on a revised bill to address the 2024 logistics issue. The two laws to be amended are the Logistics Comprehensive Efficiency Improvement Act and the Truck Transportation Business Act (the Logistics Comprehensive Efficiency Act will be renamed the “Logistics Comprehensive Efficiency Improvement Act”).
The revised bill is expected to require certain businesses to create plans to improve logistics efficiency, such as eliminating “waiting time” when people wait for their turn to load and unload cargo. At the 5th Kansai Logistics Exhibition, we will be exhibiting a booth with the theme of “MOVO, a logistics DX tool that responds to the revision of two logistics-related laws.”

In this seminar, we will explain the main points of this law reform and also talk about the future of logistics based on the government’s medium- and long-term plans. What changes will be required in logistics in the future, and how should shippers and logistics companies respond to those changes?
We will also introduce how to respond to legal revisions using the logistics DX tool “MOVO”.
