Waka Narita, a second year student at International High School, is taking part in CAS: Creativity, Activity, Service, a compulsory subject for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, which she has been working on since her second year. I participated in “Kikigaki Koshien” and have visited Ina City, Nagano Prefecture several times since last September to interview master matsutake growers. The work he wrote based on the interviews received high praise at the 22nd Kikigaki Koshien, and was selected to receive the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award.
At the award ceremony and forum on March 25th (Monday), as the recipient of the most prestigious Minister’s Award, I participated in a stage talk with essayist and novelist Sawako Agawa and others. You can view the forum details from the website below.

She aims to attend an overseas university after graduating from high school. In the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, she is studying subjects such as English, geography, and music at an advanced level. We are working on various issues. During last year’s summer vacation, I was selected as a dispatch student from an international high school and visited the University of London and the University of Cambridge in England. Based on his experience as head of the brass band club in junior high school, he has further expanded his range of activities in high school, demonstrating leadership and positivity both on and off campus.
She has a strong attachment to Kikigaki Koshien, and when it was decided that she would participate, she said, “I have to give it my all because I will be letting people know about the value of the work and lives of the masters I interviewed through the work I created.” ”, and in his heart he made a promise to himself to face this activity without compromise. It is expected that her sense of responsibility, curious and positive personality will lead to great results not only in her high school life, but also in her activities after entering university and in her future work, and that she will make great strides on the global stage. .

《Characteristics of International High School》
Kokusai High School is a coeducational boarding school (boarding school). We accept a wide range of students from Japan and overseas, and practice leadership education from an early stage in a highly diverse environment. We will realize world-class leadership education in the fully equipped and natural environment newly built on the campus of Nagoya University of Commerce, which has a vast campus of approximately 740,000 square meters.
《Characteristics of education》
Incorporating the “case method,” a leader education method practiced at the world’s top academic institutions such as Harvard University, we cultivate not only academic ability but also leadership that can be used in the international community. Classes are held in small groups of no more than 25 students, and are taught by multinational faculty members, all of whom have master’s or doctoral degrees, and professors from affiliated business schools. In addition, we will hold a summer school for prospective students and a bridging program (April to June) as a preparatory course for admission.
《Boarding education》
We provide co-educational boarding school education based on international boarding school operating standards. House Supervisors, who are well-versed in psychological and health management, provide daily life support and regular interviews, providing optimal support and guidance to each student. By living together with peers of the same generation who have different cultures and experiences, we cultivate the understanding of diversity, cooperativeness,
