While promoting DX (digital transformation) based on the Digital Resilience Strategy (formulated in February 2021), Toyota City has entered into an “Agreement on Public-Private Co-Creation Regarding DX/CX Promotion” with Social X. We have been working to improve CX (customer experience) by improving citizen services through DX, and improving experience and value. In this effort, in order to more actively collaborate with companies, it is necessary to further deepen the understanding of public-private co-creation within the agency, so we are implementing a public-private co-creation human resource development training program along with Social X. We have been working on co-creation to foster a culture of public-private co-creation within the agency and to develop human resources for public-private co-creation. The program has been widely adopted by other
municipalities and ministries. Through these activities, in order for Toyota City to advance the resolution of administrative issues through public-private co-creation from a long-term perspective, we must first increase the understanding and enthusiasm for public-private co-creation within the city, rather than simply aiming to increase the number of cases with companies. They realized that there is a need to raise awareness and develop and expand co-creative human resources who can lead public-private co-creation. Therefore, through this agreement, through the experience of connecting companies and local governments with an awareness of co-creation while looking at the market, we will acquire and foster know-how and mindset for
public-private co-creation, including from a private-sector
perspective. The main objective is to develop and expand human resources who can lead co-creation, and we have decided to carry out public-private co-creation human resources development through temporary staffing. First, 16 employees, mainly participants in the public-private co-creation human resource development training program, who were recruited as “1-day interns” in the fall of 2020, visited our company over three days. We invited trainees to
participate in a one-year dispatch program after having them experience the daily life of Social X.
