The first day, April 19th (Friday), will be called “Pride 30th Special Day” and we will look back on the 30th anniversary of Japan’s Pride. Past representatives of Pride in Tokyo and Makiko Terahara,
co-representative of the public interest incorporated association Marriage For All Japan – Freedom to Marry, took the stage. We will look back at Japan’s history and legal development, and discuss the past, present, and actions for the future. At the end of the symposium, parties involved in the ongoing “Freedom to Marry for All” lawsuit (so-called same-sex marriage lawsuit) will also take the stage. On April 20th (Saturday), SHELLY, Tomoyo Abe, Keiko Kojima, and Chizuru Higashi were invited to speak during live performances by artists. Furthermore, on April 21st (Sunday), Shinjiro Atae will be on stage as a speaker. Please come to the venue to hear the voices of people who are active in various fields, with their various thoughts mixed together.
Furthermore, at TRP2024, which marks the 30th anniversary of Japan’s pride, we have prepared a “Rainbow Stage” within the venue (Keyaki Namiki in Yoyogi Park) as a piece of content that not only looks back on the past and present, but also connects to the future. We mainly offer stage programs and experience programs aimed at children, families, and youth. There is also a children’s space near the Rainbow Stage. We have made it easier for more people to participate. April 20th (Sat) 11:00-17:00 (KIDS & FAMILIY DAY)

There will be a “JAPAN PRIDE 30th” booth, which will display historical exhibits, and a “National Pride Network” booth, which will be a coalition of pride organizations from all over Japan. At the “JAPAN PRIDE 30th” booth, there will be panel displays including a chronology showing the history of pride parades across the country, and valuable footage from the time of the “Tokyo Lesbian and Gay Parade”, which was first held in 1994, will be shown. . In addition, we will be selling a commemorative booklet “PRIDE 30th” that looks back on 30 years of history and 30th anniversary goods. All proceeds from sales at this booth, excluding the actual cost, will be used for the activities of the National Pride Network.
At the “National Pride Network” booth, staff from pride organizations from all over the country will introduce pride parades in their respective regions, and there will also be a merchandise corner. “PRIDE 30th”, which will be sold at this booth, will record the changes that have occurred in Japan over the past 30 years, and we hope that as many people as possible will be able to learn about the progress that has been made. This was created with the cooperation of many people involved. We are currently taking on the challenge of crowdfunding, hoping that by understanding the accurate history, we can think about the future 30 years together with everyone. Thank you for your continued support.
