Investigation background
In 2018, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announced the “Guidelines for Promoting Digital Transformation” (hereinafter referred to as “DX Promotion Guidelines”), and DX has been promoted in various industries and companies in Japan. I did. Two years later, in 2020, the “Digital Governance Code” was published, which summarizes the responses required of managers, such as formulating and announcing a management vision based on the social transformation caused by digital technology, and in 2022, the “DX The “Digital Governance Code 2.0” (*1), which integrates the “Promotion Guidelines” and the “Digital Governance Code”, has been published.
Due to this social background, it is thought that interest in DX is increasing among job hunters. On the other hand, considering that opportunities for students to learn about companies’ DX initiatives are limited, we investigated the images and aspiration levels of companies that we believe are making progress in IT/digital
utilization and DX, and calculated a DX brand image ranking. did. *1 Digital Governance Code 2.0 | Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry https://www.meti.go.jp/policy/it_policy/investment/dgc/dgc.html Summary of results of “Minshu 2025 Graduates DX Company Employment Brand Survey” (DX brand image ranking by industry)
We have calculated the DX brand image rankings in five industries: “manufacturers,” “finance,” “infrastructure,” “media,” and “real estate.”

Discussion of the survey results of “Minshu 2025 Graduates DX Company Employment Brand Survey”
The results show that companies that can directly experience DX from their products and services as users occupy the top positions. In some industries, there are already differences in brand image regarding recruitment of DX human resources and training systems, etc. In all industries, the top rankings were of products and services that people come into contact with in their daily lives, as well as companies whose actual DX measures and associated brands are easy to imagine.
In addition, as a result of collecting “Why do you think IT/digital utilization and DX are progressing” from the nine options below (multiple answers possible), the top three companies in all industries “are using it in their services and products themselves.” accounted for the highest percentage.
[Table 3: https://prtimes.jp/data/corp/16325/table/129_1_cfbedadc25d8808103897c12983b52e5.jpg] However, in the financial industry sector, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, which came in second place, had a higher percentage of people who selected “Used for services and products themselves” than Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, which came in first place. Additionally, in the same industry, there is a large difference in the percentage of respondents who selected “We have a comprehensive training and education system for acquiring skills and knowledge” at 14% for Bank of Mitsubishi UFJ and 7% for Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation. I was able to see it.
From these results, the students who chose one or both of the two companies believed that Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation was widely promoting DX as a service or product, while IT/DX It can be inferred that Mitsubishi UFJ Bank is more likely to have the image of promoting DX from the perspective of hiring human resources. In other words, even if we say that we are recognized as a company that is advanced in IT/digital utilization and DX, there are cases where we are recognized as a company that enjoys products and services as a consumer, and cases where we are involved in products and services as a provider. ”, etc., which may conjure up an image of “promoting DX” from multiple perspectives.

Furthermore, in this survey, we collected responses to the question, “Does a company that promotes DX have an impact on your level of aspiration?” 25.9% said it had an impact, and 40.3% said it had a slight impact. This was the answer. As a result, it is thought that over 60% of students consider a company’s DX initiatives to be one of the factors they consider when looking for a job, although their viewpoints may differ.

For companies that are looking to further strengthen the recruitment of IT/DX human resources in the future, it is recommended that, in addition to corporate brand recognition, they should also broadly raise awareness among students about initiatives related to IT/DX promotion. I think it will become important.
