Marriott International (Headquarters: Maryland, U.S.; Chief Executive Officer and CEO: Anthony Capuano) and Hotel Management International Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Ryutora Hira; abbreviation: HMI Hotel Group) today announced plans to enter into a strategic partnership and rebrand seven existing HMI Hotel Group hotels in five cities across the country as Marriott Hotels and Courtyard by Marriott.

Additionally, the rebranding of seven hotels, totaling approximately 2,200 rooms, is the largest single project that Marriott International has signed in Japan. The series of hotels is scheduled to open in the fall of 2025 after renovation work.
