11 Sony Group products won the international design award “Red Dot Design Award 2024”
Two entries won the top prize: a portable theater system that you can carry around the house and enjoy a three-dimensional sound theater space, and a mobile motion capture system that easily captures whole-body movements.

Sony Group Corporation has won the 2024 Red Dot Award: Product Design Category for its portable theater system “HT-AX7” and mobile motion capture “mocopi(R)”. We would like to inform you that we have won the “Red Dot: Best of the Best” award. In the Sony Group, a total of 11 projects, including these, received the Red Dot Design Award in the product design category.
The Red Dot Design Award is an international design award sponsored by Germany’s Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen. Entries will be judged by global design experts based on nine criteria, including design innovation, functionality, quality, ergonomics, environmental compatibility, and symbolism. In 2024, we received applications from 60 countries/regions around the world.
The Creative Center, the Sony Group’s design department, has expanded its activities from product design to business areas such as entertainment, finance, and mobility, and is engaged in a wide range of designs, including branding such as visions and logos, and interfaces. We continue to explore all the possibilities of design, aiming to realize a richer and more comfortable lifestyle for people around the world, and to create “archetypes” of new value brought about by the fusion of design and technology.
