) will hold multiple symposiums on sailing ships anchored in Yokohama and Kobe for 5 days from May 9th (Thursday) to May 24th (Friday), 2024, and has been continuously working on “ED&I*¹”. We will carry out activities to promote understanding. From 11:00 on May 9th, we will invite Foreign Love Barbie, who actively disseminates topics related to gender, to a talk event and ribbon cutting to celebrate the start of the symposium series.
The setting is a beautiful sailing ship that is visiting Japan for the first time, built with the hope of creating employment for young people.

The venue for the symposium will be the Clipper Stud Amsterdam, a sailing ship co-owned by Randstad and the City of Amsterdam. The ship is a faithful reproduction of a 19th century high-speed sailing ship and was built between 1997 and 1998, during which time it was used to train 138 unemployed workers, and opened to the public in 2000. The World Tour, which travels around the world, employs young people as crew members, offering those seeking work experience the opportunity to gain a wide range of skills and experience.
