Empty bottles of Kurikura, a delivery water service operated by NAC, were collected and recycled, and recycled into ballpoint pens through material recycling. The ballpoint pens produced this time are scheduled to be donated to educational support facilities in Japan and overseas.

To date, TBM has operated one of the largest material recycling plants in Japan, collected plastic through collaboration with over 100 recycling partners nationwide, sold recycled plastic, and used the recycled material “CirculeX.” We are involved in product planning and overseas sales of recycled plastics, mainly in Southeast Asia. The matching business for recycled materials, etc., which we have been working on since 2021, is currently producing transactions of 34,000 tons per year.
Since its inception, NAC, which operates Kurikura, a safe and delicious home-delivered water company, has been working towards an environmentally friendly, recycling-oriented society by using sustainable bottles and reusing bottles rather than throwing them away. Ta. Furthermore, bottles and caps that are damaged during the reuse process are not discarded, but instead are remade into original rulers or personal bottles.
■ Overview of the initiative As NAC was considering expanding its lineup of recycled material products, TBM’s track record of product planning that utilizes recycled materials, including Circle I did. TBM collects and recycles empty bottles, and plans to donate the ballpoint pens produced through material recycling to educational support facilities in Japan and overseas.
In addition, in this material recycling initiative, we will utilize the DPP*-compliant visualization function of Maar Recycled Materials Procurement, a procurement platform for recycled materials and recycled raw materials with traceability information provided by TBM, to ensure that recycled materials contain We worked to appeal to consumers about environmental friendliness and circularity with an eye toward future DPP compliance, such as by visualizing traceability from raw materials to recycling.
In the future, TBM and NAC will strengthen their collaboration to plan recycled material products with high added value.
