In April 2024, we concluded a business
partnership agreement with MAQO ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. (Headquarters: Selangor, Malaysia, President and CEO: Kong Kok King, hereinafter “MAQO”), which provides sustainability solutions, and held a signing ceremony. It was conducted.
The two companies will support decarbonization and sustainable management by providing ASUENE, a cloud service that visualizes, reduces, and reports CO2 emissions, to local companies in Malaysia.

Not only in Japan but throughout Asia, interest in decarbonization is increasing among companies due to national policies and demands, and the need for visualization and reduction of CO2 emissions is rapidly increasing.
In Malaysia as well, the government has set out a policy to reduce CO2 emissions by 45% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, and is accelerating efforts. The 12th Malaysia Plan, announced in September 2021, aims to increase the proportion of renewable energy to 70% by 2050 by establishing an energy transition roadmap, in addition to emission reduction targets. .
In Malaysia, the manufacturing industry accounts for 44.4% of all companies (see total domestic and foreign investment approvals*). In order to achieve carbon neutrality for the entire country, it is essential to reduce emissions through visualization of CO2 emissions in the manufacturing industry and conversion to clean energy. *Report on total domestic and foreign investment approval survey (MIDA research, December 2023)
Therefore, MAQO, which has a customer base mainly in the manufacturing industry and provides SX* support in Malaysia, and Asuene, which is strong in supporting decarbonized management in the manufacturing industry, have entered into a business partnership agreement. By providing ASUENE mainly to manufacturing companies in Malaysia, we will be able to provide one-stop solutions for visualizing and reducing CO2 emissions.
