◆ *Recent trends regarding biodiversity*
The global goals set at COP15 held in December 2022 and the TNDF (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial
The importance of nature-positive management by companies is increasing year by year due to the Nature-Related Financial
Information Disclosure Task Force. On the other hand, regional biodiversity information (=natural capital), which is the basic information for planning, is highly local, and understanding this comprehensively and centrally is a common challenge for many companies.

In light of these issues, we are making use of the creature collection app “Biome” and the vast fields along each railway line to help as many people as possible have fun collecting information on the discovery of living things, thereby clarifying the biodiversity along the railway lines. can. By aggregating and visualizing the accumulated biological distribution information and using it as basic information for environmental conservation, we have come to a co-creation project to promote and realize a nature-positive society.

◆ *Implementation purpose*
* 1. Rediscovering regional charm through railways and “Biome”* By having participants collect biological data while traveling along railway lines, we will create a new nature-positive action that will help them feel the value of living things and foster attachment to the areas and towns along the railway lines.

* 2. Improving value along railway lines by visualizing natural capital* By properly maintaining and disseminating the appeal of natural capital, we will further improve the value of real estate and tourism along railway lines in Kansai.

* 3. Visualization of biodiversity along railway lines*
By building an environmental conservation system from the data we have acquired, we aim to halt the loss of nature and biodiversity, and ultimately create an environmentally positive society.

* 4. Building momentum for the Osaka/Kansai Expo*
Under the theme of the Expo, “Designing a future society where life shines,” we will work on co-creation-type measures to realize a future society where all kinds of life, including humankind, shine and solve problems.
