The golden castle seal “400th Anniversary of Kan’ei Yukiyuki Special Commemorative Mark” has been completed!
*Nijo Castle/Kanei Yukiyuki 400th Anniversary Crowdfunding return gift limited* In preparation for the 400th Anniversary of Nijo Castle and Kan’ei Yukiyuki, which will be held in 2026, we are planning a “Living History” event.
KYOTO” (Representative: Kanako Hamasaki, Founded: September 2023) is conducting crowdfunding until May 19, 2024. We have recently completed one of the return gifts, a golden castle seal “400th Anniversary of Kan’ei Yukiyuki Special Commemorative Mark”.

It is September 1626 (Kanei 3), 11 years after the Siege of Osaka, after the Sengoku period, which was full of wars. In response to the invitation of the great (second shogun) Hidetada Tokugawa and the third shogun Iemitsu Tokugawa,
Emperor Gomizunoo visited Nijo Castle, the Kyoto base of the Tokugawa shogunate (hereinafter referred to as “Kanei Yukiyuki”). The fact that the Imperial Court and the Shogunate joined hands at this time can be said to be an event that foretold that the Edo period, which would continue for more than 200 years, would be a world of peace.
In 2026, which marks the 400th anniversary of Kan’ei Yukiyuki, we will hold the Nijo Castle Kan’ei Yukiyuki 400th Anniversary Festival. We are currently conducting a crowdfunding campaign to prepare for the event, and one of the return gifts, the castle seal “400th Anniversary of Kan’ei Yukiyuki, Special Commemorative Mark”, has been completed. At Kan’ei Yukiyuki, Tokugawa Hidetada and Iemitsu entertained Emperor Gomizunoo with golden furniture, so we chose a special design with golden letters on a golden mount.
