Born in Tokyo in 1912. While working in the art and design fields related to publishing, he also plays with the world of seal engraving and engraving. Studied seal carving under Koun Sekino and Shohei Yamada. Studied calligraphy with Kureseki Nishiwaki and Chinese writing with Narihiro Tanabe.
