Collaborating with Orico to provide “Orico BtoB Early Payment by GMO” [GMO Payment Gateway]

GMO Payment Gateway, Inc. (TSE Prime Market: Stock Code: 3769, CEO: Kazunari Aiura; hereinafter referred to as GMO-PG), which provides comprehensive payment-related and financial-related services within the GMO Internet Group, is Orient Inc. In collaboration with Orico Corporation (TSE Prime Market: Stock Code 8585, President and CEO: Tetsuo Iimori, hereinafter referred to as Orico), we will launch the “Orico BtoB Early Payment by GMO” service for Orico’s business partners from May 2, 2024 (Thursday). We provide. “Orico BtoB Early Payment by GMO” is a factoring service that quickly converts into cash by GMO-PG purchasing (*1) the receivables held by Orico’s business partners in BtoB transactions.

[Background and overview]
Due to the Civil Code amendments that came into effect in April 2020, it has become easier for businesses to raise funds using debt. (*2) In addition, in October 2022, the Online Factoring Association (OFA) was established as an organization that will develop industry guidelines and promote correct information and awareness activities. One of these is the increasing use of factoring.
In order to support BtoB businesses from a financial perspective, GMO-PG offers “GMO BtoB Early Payment (Factoring),” which allows businesses to quickly turn their accounts receivable into cash by purchasing their accounts receivable. We offer “GMO BtoB Accounts Receivable Guarantee,” in which GMO-PG pays the uncollected amount in the event of a collection. Furthermore, in order to support more BtoB businesses, we are collaborating with financial institutions and actively supporting the expansion of financial services provided by financial institutions to their business partners.
On the other hand, Orico, a major credit sales company, offers services that support financing and cash flow improvement for corporations and individual business owners. As Orico adds factoring to its service lineup, GMO-PG will collaborate with Orico to provide “Orico BtoB Early Payment by GMO”, which is based on “GMO BtoB Early Payment (factoring)”.
Going forward, GMO-PG will continue to provide financial services that support business operators’ growth and operational efficiency from multiple angles.
