The global boy group “NEXZ” was born from the Japan-Korea joint audition project “Nizi Project Season 2” by JYP and Sony Music.

Born from JYP and Sony Music’s Japan-Korea joint audition project “Nizi Project Season 2”.
NEXZ means “Next Z(G)generation”.
The name “N” and “Z” signify that the group was born from the “Nizi Project,” and it conveys the message that the members who will lead the next generation will gather together, deliver new music and performance, and usher in a new era.
In announcing the group’s name, J.Y. Park told the members, “We named the group with the hope that we will carve out a future together with the new generation.”

A Japan-Korea joint audition project by JYP and Sony Music.
In this project, JYP and Sony Music will jointly handle everything from holding global auditions to member casting, training, planning, production, and management.
In “Nizi Project Season 1”, she participated in “NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen” for 4 consecutive years, won the “Japan Record Award” for 3 consecutive years, and became the “fastest female artist in history” to perform at two major domes, Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome. NiziU made their long-awaited Korean debut on October 30, 2023, and became a national girl group in both name and reality, garnering a lot of attention when they won first place on a local music show.
Taking advantage of that track record, this year’s “Nizi Project Season 2” aims to create a global boy group, and will be held in eight cities in Japan, Los Angeles, New York, and all of South Korea, including Seoul, from mid-March to early May 2022.
