Rakuten Mobile launches “Strongest Children’s Program” to support children’s smartphone debut

Starting Thursday, May 2, 2024, Rakuten Mobile, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as “Rakuten Mobile”) will be offering the “Strongest Kids Program” (hereinafter referred to as “Rakuten Saikon Kids Program”) for customers under the age of 12 using the “Rakuten Saikon Plan”. This program will be launched (Note 1). If your monthly data usage is less than 3GB, you will receive 440 Rakuten Points, and if you use more than 3GB, you will receive 110 Rakuten Points back every month until the month before you turn 13 years old (Note 2) ).

This program can be used in conjunction with the “Strongest Family Program”. When using the two programs, the plan fee for 3GB usage of 980 yen (1,078 yen including tax) will be reduced by 100 yen by applying the “Strongest Family Program” and 440 points by applying the “Strongest Children Program,” resulting in an effective monthly fee of 480 yen (1,078 yen including tax). This program can be easily applied for by entering from the dedicated page, including new contracts, transfers from other companies (MNP), and existing “Rakuten Strongest Plan” subscribers. Rakuten Mobile has been aiming to respond to various customer needs by offering the “Strongest Family Program” and “Strongest Youth Program” starting this spring. We are launching this program in order to respond to the needs of parents who want to let their children debut with a smartphone at a low cost, such as as a means of contacting their children who have started lessons. Up to 3GB can be used for only 528 yen (tax included) until the age of 12, and domestic calls can be made free of charge by using the Rakuten Link app exclusively for subscribers to the Rakuten Strongest Plan, making it a perfect smartphone debut for children.
