Author introduction
Written by: Dev Petty After studying political science at university, he became involved in the production of movies such as the Matrix series and became a visual effects artist for movies. After giving birth, she left the film production scene, but continues to create pictures and work as an instructor. Born and raised in Berkeley, California, she currently lives happily in Albany with her husband, daughter, dog, and other creatures. Illustration: Mike Bolt Picture book author and illustrator. I live in a rural town in Alberta, Canada. I’ve been painting for over 15 years, but when I’m not painting, I can be found building snow huts with my three children, building spaceships out of Legos, or having ice cream with my wife. I live my life rubbing and laughing. Lately, I’ve been seriously thinking, “I’m glad I’m not a frog.” Translated by: Kentaro Kobayashi Playwright and performer. My job is to entertain everyone with comedy skits, plays, and writing. When I’m in my atelier in the city, I’m creating stories, and when I’m in my atelier in the forest, I’m drawing pictures. In 2016, he published the picture book “Uru no Mori” (Kodansha).
