*A tourist temple located on Shodoshima, Kagawa Prefecture. In time for the May 8th Flower Festival, the Shakaden Hall at the top of the temple was transformed into a mysterious and elegant space using artificial flowers. Available from May 1st. *
Shodoshima Daikannon Shakaden
Shodoshima Daikannon, a religious organization, collaborated with the flower shop Pensee in Tonosho Town, Shodoshima, to create a special space on the top floor of the Shakaden Hall overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. In this space, there is the Hall of the Buddha’s Tooth, which enshrines the tooth of Buddha, a gift from the National Temple of the Tooth of the Republic of Sri Lanka. Our organization will hold a flower festival on May 8th, Buddha’s birthday.

Shodoshima Daikannon Exterior
Since its construction in 1995, Shodoshima Daikannon has prayed for everyone’s happiness from the heights of Shodoshima. In addition, it won the Grand Prix in the Ark Plus International Works Contest (a globally prestigious contest in the architecture and design category), and is recognized as the world’s most beautiful Kannon statue, both in name and reality. The inside of the temple is built around a womb, and there are 14,000 Buddha statues on the walls.
