A special promotional project for Jun Ikeido’s latest book “Our Hakone Ekiden” (Part 1 and Part 2) is underway!
*“Orehako” jacks the “Shinkansen transfer gate” at Tokyo Station! * Bungeishunju Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kioicho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) President: Nariyuki Iikubo) has written Jun Ikeido’s latest novel, “Our Hakone Ekiden,” based on the “Tokyo-Hakone round-trip university relay race,” commonly known as the Hakone Ekiden. (Top and Bottom) will be released from today, May 6th (Monday) to May 12th (Sunday), by jacking up the round pillar facing the Yaesu Central Ticket Gate (Shinkansen transfer gate), which is the main entrance of Tokyo Station. “Tokyo Bright Pillar” will be developed.

◆* Overview of the work*
The setting of Jun Ikeido’s latest work is the “Tokyo-Hakone Round-trip University Ekiden Race,” commonly known as the Hakone Ekiden.
An ensemble drama of youth running towards victory.
It vividly captures young people competing in earnest competitions, sometimes in tears, and sometimes clashing with each other.
There is another main character in the Hakone Ekiden that must not be forgotten. These TV crews are pouring all their passion and skills into delivering this race.
An unknown battle begins.

* Jun Ikeido *
Born in Gifu Prefecture in 1963. Graduated from Keio University. He made his debut in 1998 by winning the Edogawa Ranpo Award for “Katsuru Bottomless”.
He won the Eiji Yoshikawa New Writer’s Award for “Iron Bone” in 2010, the Sanjugo Naoki Award for “Shitamachi Rocket” in 2011, the Noma Publishing Culture Award in 2020, and the Renzaburo Shibata Award for “Hayabusa Fire Brigade” in 2023.
His main works include the “Naoki Hanzawa” series (“Ore Tachi Bubble Joining Group”, “We Are the Flower Bubble Group”,
