*“Film type” that remains super water repellent even if touched accidentally* Carmate Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toshima-ku, Tokyo) has released the “Zero Wiper Film Type” from the “Zero Wiper” series of super water-repellent glass coats that prevent rain from getting on the glass.

What is super water repellent?
A phenomenon in which water droplets splash instead of adhering to the surface due to invisible ultra-fine protrusions on the surface of an object (see image above). Since 2001, we have been developing a super water-repellent coating agent (image below) that applies this phenomenon to automobiles, but the problem was that the coating agent had low durability and easily lost its effectiveness when touched. Therefore, this product solves the durability problem by using a special film that has a super water-repellent structure that does not break even when touched.

Product features
*Super water-repellent film prevents rain and provides clear visibility* By pasting this product on the side mirror, it will repel rain even when the vehicle is stationary (0km/h). Raindrops do not remain on the side mirrors, which are difficult to hit by the wind, making it easy to see the rear.
No raindrops remain where the super water-repellent film is attached. * Highly durable, super water-repellent structure is hard to break* Adopts a film with ultra-fine projections formed on the surface. It is made of a special material that is highly durable, and its super water-repellent effect remains even when washed with water or wiped with a cloth. If water droplets form on the film due to dirt, wipe it dry with a soft cloth to restore the super water-repellent effect. Lasts approximately 3 months*

* Low adhesive sticker that is easy to attach to side mirrors * It can be reapplied immediately after pasting. It doesn’t leave any sticky residue, so it can be removed cleanly after use.

*Cannot be used on mirrors that have been treated with coloring, hydrophilicity, water repellency, etc., or mirrors with special functions such as wipers or ultrasonic waves.
