The Toyonaka City Fire Department will launch the Toyonaka Children’s Fire Club “Macikane Fire Brigade” on Saturday, May 11th. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, and there are concerns that large-scale earthquakes with epicenters in the Tonankai and Nankai Troughs will occur in the future. The aim is to raise local disaster prevention awareness by having children learn about fire prevention and disaster prevention from an early age, experiencing it, and conducting public relations activities with parents and local adults.
