MMS Marketing Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Fuminori Sugino, hereinafter referred to as MMS Marketing) is a subsidiary of Bmap Co., Ltd. After joining Shueisha, Mr. Haruhiko Suzuki was assigned to the Weekly Shonen Jump editorial department and was involved in the launch of the serialization of the soccer manga Captain Tsubasa (written by Yoichi Takahashi, serialized in 1981), which is now unknown to all Japanese people. Since then, he has grown to be an influence not only on the soccer world but on the Japanese sports world as a whole. After that, he served as editor-in-chief of Shueisha’s various manga magazines, both for boys and girls. During his time as editor-in-chief of SUPER JUMP, he worked on “JIN” (written by Motoka Murakami, serialized in 2000), which was also made into a TV drama and staged by the Takarazuka Revue, creating many works that went beyond the boundaries of manga. gained fans.

This time, by welcoming Mr. Suzuki as a director at MMS Marketing, we will be able to use manga, which is also Japan’s proud pop culture, as a core part of urban business, including the promotion of existing distribution businesses such as convenience stores, drug stores, and supermarkets. In addition, we will continue to expand.
■Comments from our company and MMS Marketing Co., Ltd. Representative Director and President: Fuminori Sugino
MMS Marketing Co., Ltd. has now welcomed Mr. Haruhiko Suzuki, who has shown great skill in Shueisha’s various manga magazines, as a director, greatly increasing our possibilities. Our company and MMS Marketing have been using a variety of content such as K-POP, Japanese idol groups, anime, voice actors, professional wrestlers, big stars, actors, charismatic hairdressers, psychics, etc. for distribution at convenience stores, drug stores, supermarkets, etc. We have been attracting customers and achieving results. We have also planned collaborative campaigns between these companies and companies involved in existing social infrastructure and distribution businesses, such as transportation businesses. With Mr. Suzuki’s participation, I think MMS Marketing and Bmap will become a strong company even in manga and anime, where Japan is strong.
Our neighboring country, South Korea, is promoting unique marketing through the collaboration of culture and Korean products using K-POP. We hope that this will expand to the promotion of manga, anime, subculture, idols, and other Japanese products that Japan is proud of to the world, to be exported to the world.
This time, by welcoming Mr. Suzuki, who has led the Japanese manga industry both in name and reality, as a director and gaining his knowledge, our company and MMS Marketing will enter a new phase of business development. Please look forward to it.
