Fukui Prefecture’s open innovation program “CO-FUKUI Future Technology Utilization Project” (https://co -fukui.jp/) will begin accepting applications for 2024 on Monday, May 13th. We are now accepting applications to participate in the online briefing session scheduled for May 14th (Tuesday), so we look forward to your participation. In Fukui Prefecture, we support the social implementation of businesses that utilize advanced technology to solve local issues, and aim to make the future of Fukui Prefecture sustainable and create a prosperous local community that is attractive to the people of the prefecture. .
Features of this year’s program
For this year’s “CO-FUKUI Future Technology Utilization Project,” we are looking for a wide range of advanced and innovative initiatives, not just those that utilized digital technology up until last year. Additionally, this year, we will be changing the number of recruitment slots to three. Until last fiscal year, we had adopted not only 1. a recruitment method (problem-solving framework) that accepts proposals for projects that contribute to resolving regional issues heard from prefectures and municipalities, but also 2. proposals for solutions to regional issues based on the free ideas of private business operators. We have established three recruitment frameworks: 3. A method for soliciting proposals (free proposal framework), and 3. A method for supporting horizontal expansion within the prefecture by businesses selected up to last year (continuous support framework). To go.

“CO-FUKUI Future Technology Utilization Project” 2024 Application Reception Overview (Free Proposal Frame)
The outline of the “Free Proposal Frame” for which we will begin soliciting proposals as the first step is as follows.
■Entry qualifications
Organizations with some kind of legal status, such as domestic and foreign startups, ventures, local small and medium-sized enterprises, and large companies that aim to solve regional issues.

■Selection criteria
1. It must be an innovative solution that addresses regional issues. 2. Project team that contributes to social implementation within Fukui Prefecture (able to continue activities)
3. The plan must be expected to be expanded within the prefecture. *The number of selected spots is planned to be 3 (joint applications from multiple companies will be considered as 1 spot)
