[Kenmin Foods 75th anniversary project] A new product development project co-created with fans has decided on a commercialized menu scheduled to be released in March 2025!
Kenmin Foods Co., Ltd. (Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, President and CEO: Yuki Takamura) has recently decided on a commercialized menu scheduled to be released in March 2025 under the “Everyone’s Frozen Rice Noodles Project, Made by Rice Noodle Fans.”
This is the first attempt since Kenmin Foods was founded to
incorporate fan opinions into a product.
This time, 8 Kenmin fans, who are “rice noodles ambassadors” selected from the fan community, together with 4 members of our company’s frozen food development team, tasted and considered the menu ideas, which were narrowed down to 3 ideas in December last year. I chose the rice noodles with “Stir-fried Beef and Komatsuna with Oyster Sauce” (tentative name).
The project will take approximately two years to create a new product, which is scheduled to be released in March 2025, marking the 75th anniversary of the company’s founding, in collaboration with Kenmin Fan.
In the future, we plan to consider the product name, package design, etc. I tried it many times and decided on this product.
Project purpose

As a token of our gratitude to the fans of rice noodles and Kenmin, we have invited members of the fan community to become members and started a co-creation project to commercialize the thoughts of our fans.

By co-creating products with the customer’s perspective through co-creation with Ken Minhwan, the “rice noodles ambassador,” we hope to create products that will be loved by more people for a long time. –
Through this project, we hope that both the rice noodles fans, Kenmin fans, and our company will discover new perspectives on rice noodles and explore the possibility of further contributing to enriching the Japanese dining table. .

In addition to being luxurious with plenty of beef and Japanese mustard spinach, the selected product has an authentic taste that has been approved by Ryuta Matsumoto, head chef of Kenmin Dining, a restaurant directly managed by Kenmin Foods.
This rice noodle was chosen because the project members, who are rice noodle fans, were impressed by the fact that “you can easily enjoy the deliciousness of authentic Chinese cuisine at home,” and it was deemed appropriate for the 75th anniversary project.
