Felissimo’s brand “Live in comfort” is part of a project called “Live love cotton”, which donates 100 yen to Madingpada village, where a cotton farm is located, for every product made using organic cotton from India. We are promoting the Love Cotton Project (LLC Project). To coincide with this year’s “Cotton Day” (May 10th), we announced on a special website that the total amount of funds raised since the start of the project has reached 24,844,360 yen* (*as of April 2024). The funds collected are used in three ways to meet local needs, including not only supporting organic cotton farming, but also supporting children’s education and increasing women’s incomes. Cotton is the most familiar material for fashion. Large amounts of pesticides are used in cultivation, causing health problems for farmers, debt difficulties, and land depletion. Therefore, LLC Project sells each organic cotton product made in India with a 100 yen donation from the Live Love Cotton Fund. The funds will be used in three ways depending on local needs: “Support for organic cotton farming,” “Support for children’s education,” and “Support for increasing women’s income.” By supporting the cultivation of organic cotton, which is produced without relying on chemical pesticides or fertilizers, we can protect the global environment and cotton farmers from harmful chemicals.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues from 2022 to 2023, we first focused on prevention and hygiene improvements to protect our health. In addition to large-scale gatherings in which 90% of the residents participated, we also used student gatherings, one-on-one information provision, message boards with messages written on walls, and other efforts to prevent infection. Additionally, in response to the closure of local schools due to the coronavirus pandemic, a local NGO introduced a “mobile education program” through the general
