Hotel Management Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ebisu, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Junichi Araki) has appointed Tadashi Matsuoka as the general manager of Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa (Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture / 361 rooms), effective May 1, 2024. As a member of Oriental Hotel, a historic hotel brand founded in Kobe in 1870, we are honored to welcome you to Okinawa. Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa was rebranded in October 2021 and reopened in April after three years of renovations. Based on the concept of “playing with the island and connecting with the forest,” we aim to be a hotel that is rooted in the community and can contribute to the development of Okinawa tourism while working together with the local people.
The former general manager, Keikan Sake, was the general manager of Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa, where he demonstrated his skills in branding and implementing renovation plans. In the future, I plan to support Tadashi Matsuoka as an advisor and contribute to further development.
■Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa
Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa is Oriental Hotels & Resorts’ first resort hotel, and is located in the northern part of the main island of Okinawa, at the entrance to Yanbaru, where the rich subtropical forest and blue sea spread. This hotel is close to the Kyoda Interchange on the Okinawa Expressway, 60 minutes to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, and 20 minutes to Manzamo, Onna Village.This hotel is ideal for active sightseeing in Okinawa, with easy access not only to the north but also to the central and southern regions.
It features spacious guest rooms (361 rooms) of 44 square meters or more, all with ocean views, and in the spring of 2024, 288 rooms will be renovated into a space that is even more suitable as a base for a trip to experience Yanbaru. The lobby area is filled with greenery and is bathed in sunlight filtering through the trees, with plenty of plants that grow naturally in the Yanbaru forest.Environmental music that reflects the hotel’s concept of “playing with the island and connecting with the forest” is played. We create a space where the immersive feeling of being there and the sense of openness that separates you from everyday life intersect.
In addition to the “Amenity Base ArinKrin,” where you can freely choose amenities, we also have a “Lobby Lounge” that can be used by all hotel guests, and a “Club Lounge” exclusively for club room guests. We provide accommodation space.
