We will begin a demonstration experiment regarding the ride service.

This demonstration experiment will be carried out in collaboration with Keikyu Corporation, which has mutual direct service with the Toei Asakusa Line, making it possible for the first time in the Tokyo metropolitan area to allow mutual use of touch payments such as credit cards between operators.
As a result, for example, when foreign visitors to Japan using Haneda Airport board a Keikyu train and get off at a Toei subway station, they can transfer their credit card, etc. to an automatic ticket gate (at some stations and ticket gates). You can board and disembark by simply touching the dedicated terminal (dedicated terminal), allowing you to travel smoothly from Haneda Airport to the city center. Please see below for details.

The payment platform “stera” is a payment platform for businesses built by Sumitomo Mitsui Card in collaboration with GMO Payment Gateway, GMO Financial Gate, and Visa to solve the issues associated with introducing cashless payments. “stera transit” is a solution for public transportation that utilizes the “stera” payment platform and the international brand’s contactless payment “touch payment.” In addition to “improving convenience” for consumers by eliminating the need for cash or pre-loading, it has a wide range of effects that go beyond the transportation field, such as “preventing infectious diseases,” “improving an environment for accepting inbound tourists,” and “promoting local cashless payments.” is also expected.
Additionally, “stera transit” technology can be used as an
authentication platform for MaaS and smart cities. In the future, we plan to introduce this system throughout the country.
