This is an educational (?) program for seniors by Jun Miura, who is known as the king of subculture and who coined buzzwords such as “my boom,” and each time he explains a theme that will help seniors. The theme for the first time is “Monaka”.

Interview with Jun Miura!
–Please tell us the origin and history of the program’s name. “With the spread of the Internet, TV is no longer something to watch seriously.When I thought about it, the words “It’s like taking a break from thinking about cheap things” came to mind, and I thought, “By picking up cheap things, it’s like taking a break. I thought, “Let’s give the viewers a break.” I also thought that if they saw “The Cheap” in the latte section of a newspaper, they would be interested. ”.The 100 yen shop DAISO used to be called “The Daiso”, and I thought it was a great idea.We are from a generation that gets excited when there is a “the” in the name, so we added “the” in the name of this program. I did.”
–What kind of program do you have in mind? What kind of experience from the previous program did you draw on?
“Nearly 100% of the people who submitted questions to the previous program “Great Afterlife Movie Show in Nikkatsu Roman Porno,” which was broadcast on Satellite Theater for about 12 years, were
seniors.From there, I started working on television, especially CS. I realized that “broadcasting is a medium that seniors watch,” and I envisioned “The Cheap” as a program aimed at seniors. It’s a service. I give a lecture on a theme each time, so I hope that topic touches the hearts of seniors, and even those who will soon become seniors will be able to tell me, “Come to think of it, Jun Miura is like that.” I would appreciate it if you could remember that as you get older.
–Once again, please tell us your enthusiasm for the new program. “In the previous program, we did it quietly without forcing ourselves.However, I feel that this is the secret to its
longevity.This time too, I have no enthusiasm, and even after the first recording, I haven’t received any particular feedback. I don’t feel that way. I think if I make a program that makes people feel good about it, I’ll stop working on TV. But the people who watch it will want to watch the next episode. I’m thinking of making a program like this.”
