We want to spread the word “Tsutsushita,” which continues to address the foot problems of “not being able to put on socks.” Higuchi Meriyasu Kogyo Co., Ltd. starts crowdfunding to continue the brand *I want you to know why I can’t stop saying, “These are the only socks I can wear” when it comes to cylindrical socks with no heels. * Higuchi Meriyasu Kogyo Co., Ltd. (Representative: Yuko Nakae), which celebrated its 91st anniversary in Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture, has announced that it will conduct a campaign from May 10th to May 31st, 2024 in order to continue the sock brand “Tsutsushita”. We will try crowdfunding.

* ■Voices of “I can only wear this” from all over the country* “Tsutsushita” is a sock with a “tubular design without a heel” that was born out of customer concerns about their feet. As a result of thoroughly addressing foot problems and making improvements, we have now grown into a brand that receives comments from all over the country that “I only wear tsutsushita.”
Seamless socks with no seams that are popular among people with sensory sensitivities
Finger socks that have received a lot of feedback from caregivers and elderly people
* ■Corona vortex, aging machinery, brand continuity crisis. Still, there are people I want to reach out to. *
In an era where you can buy socks for as little as 100 yen,
Tsutsushita continues to make socks that are the complete opposite of mass production. People may be surprised and think, “I can’t believe it takes so much time and effort,” but I want my customers to be happy. I have continued “Tsutsushita” with this single-minded intention. However, due to the sudden outbreak of the coronavirus, stores were closed, and machines stopped working due to aging. Even as our business is reaching its limits, we hear from people every day saying, “I can only wear tsutsuta.” There are so many people waiting for Tsutsushita! The more I think about this, the more frustrating and frustrating this current situation becomes. I decided to start this project thinking that there are many people who don’t want to give up just yet and want to deliver the blessings they deserve.

* ■Use of funds and project schedule*
Target amount: 4.98 million yen
Use of target amount and implementation details:
In order to continue Higuchi Meriyasu Kogyo Co., Ltd.’s sock brand “Tsutsushita”, we will introduce new machinery in August and strengthen manufacturing during the six months from September to January.
Regarding the return “Crafan Limited Bangladesh Donation Course”, 1% of the support money will be used to donate to low-wage workers at textile factories in Bangladesh.

The funds we receive from you will be used for purchasing new machinery and working capital until production stabilizes. Currently, production volume is decreasing due to aging machinery, and business is in a difficult situation, but once new machinery is introduced, the daily production volume is expected to approximately double.

The upcoming schedule is as follows.
June to July Return product shipping (some in July)
July to August Installation work and introduction of new machinery September to January Manufacturing enhancement period (manufacturing focus period to maintain brand continuity)

In order to continue delivering “Tsutsushita” to our customers, it is imperative that we rebuild our production system by introducing machinery. We believe that by continuing to make “Tsushita”, which was created in response to foot problems, and by passing on this manufacturing method to the next generation, we will someday lead to “a world where no one can’t wear socks.”

We appreciate your continued support. (Representative: Yuko Nakae) * ■“Tsushita” fits any foot*
Tsutsushita are tubular style socks that do not have three-dimensional heel stitching. There are no sizes available, so they fit any foot. As a result of responding to the concerns of people with visual impairments, people with small/large feet, people who have cut their fingertips, etc. and have trouble deciding on size, we finally arrived at the cylindrical shape.
* ■Materials and knitting methods that are not bound by the common sense of making socks*
Typical socks use rubber at the opening, but Tsutsushita uses moderately elastic thread (filament twin yarn) throughout, making the socks fit well even without rubber. . This thread is difficult to work with and requires manual processing. For this reason, mass-production factories tend to avoid this material due to its high production costs, but we continue to use this yarn to carefully create each pair of shoes in order to meet the needs of our customers.

We have introduced a knitting method that is the exact opposite of the general method of making socks. The back yarn that touches the skin uses Egyptian yarn, a natural material that is gentle on the skin, and the front yarn, which requires elasticity and durability, uses highly elastic filament yarn. The result is a straight, heelless shape that fits just about any size while maintaining a soft and gentle feel. * ■Toward a world where there are no people who can’t wear socks* What we are aiming for is a world where no one has the problem of not being able to put on their socks.
We would like to spread the word Tsutsuta to people who have various foot problems such as sensitivity, swelling, and foot size. By encountering Tsutsushita, I hope to reduce the physical and mental stress they feel in their daily lives. That’s my wish.
