The “Disaster Prevention Mission Rally” is an initiative where you can experience and learn disaster prevention knowledge that each person can act on in an emergency. This time, “Ibaraki x Ritsumeikan DAY2024”, with the catchphrase “Ibaritsu Sentai Bowsiger”, we will hold a rally-style event where you can acquire knowledge about disaster prevention by completing multiple mini-games related to disaster prevention as missions.
In addition to checking evacuation centers using our smartphone disaster prevention app, playing a shooting game while learning how to use a fire extinguisher, and experiencing a disaster toilet, you can also use a commercial radio to communicate in an emergency and prepare emergency food. We offer a variety of disaster prevention missions, including hands-on experiences, so everyone from children to adults can learn disaster prevention knowledge while having fun. Through these experiences, we hope to increase each person’s disaster prevention awareness during normal times, and strengthen cooperation to minimize damage in the event of a disaster.

I decided to create a new one. Our company, which develops disaster prevention products, Ritsumeikan University, which works with Ibaraki City on disaster prevention education, and DNP, which coordinates overall planning and operations, are collaborating. In 2023, at the “Ibaraki x Ritsumeikan DAY 2023~OIC EXPO~” held by Ritsumeikan University, we held the “Disaster Prevention Mission Rally” for the first time, combining the strengths and resources of three organizations to learn practical disaster prevention education. This time, the 2024 “Disaster Prevention Mission Rally” will be held from the perspective of disaster prevention education, with the new participation of the Ibaraki City Crisis Management Division, the seminar of Associate Professor Yusuke Toyoda of Ritsumeikan University’s College of Policy Science, and Onishi Foods, which strives to popularize disaster prevention food. We will implement it.
Going forward, we will continue to further deepen our collaboration with partner companies and organizations, and hold various events in the Kansai region and across the country in order to create value that can be utilized over the long term even after the Expo is held. ■Seiryo Electric’s initiatives related to the Osaka/Kansai Expo As a company involved in disaster prevention, we want to contribute to the realization of a sustainable, safe, secure, and comfortable society, so we co-create with our partners and participate in the “TEAM EXPO 2025″ program / co-creation challenge at the Osaka/Kansai Expo. We are working on this. We are also considering exhibiting on the theme of “future disaster prevention” in the “Future Life Experience (FLE)” area, which is scheduled to be held at the Expo venue and allows people to experience future living. We will continue to co-create with a wide variety of business partners, local governments, educational institutions, and other partners and work to solve social issues for the future of the Osaka/Kansai Expo and beyond.
