Kokyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, Representative Director: Kazuhiko Sumimura) has recently added a high-output model (model: UV-MK-HP25-kit) to the UV laser marker series, which has been selling well. , nanosecond UV laser (equipped with 25 W oscillator) will be additionally sold.
UV lasers have optical characteristics that enable vaporization ablation to be performed on both thermally brittle materials (resins) and high-hardness brittle materials. It is expected to be used as a processing tool. This characteristic is well compatible with the processes required to manufacture current electronic and semiconductor parts, and our laboratory receives many inquiries regarding individual cutting of glass-epoxy substrates and method development for ceramics, SiC, and diamond processing. It is being received. On the other hand, in order to efficiently process the electronic and semiconductor components mentioned above using a UV laser, it is essential to increase the output of the laser, and the laser oscillator output has been increased from the conventional product (nanosecond UV laser 5 W). We have developed a model with improved power to 25W.
We have customized this high output model for use in semiconductor devices for electronic board cutting equipment, and have already shipped multiple units. By applying this experience to a
