Tsumiki Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takayuki Suzuki), which operates one of Japan’s largest movie, drama, and anime review services, “Filmarks,” has announced that it will be holding an event during the 77th Cannes Film Festival. It has been decided that we will host a talk event on-site during the event. The 77th Cannes Film Festival will be held from May 14th to 25th, 2024. At this year’s Cannes Film Festival, director Daishi Okuyama’s “My Sunshine” will be screened, and director Hirokazu Kore-eda will be selected as one of the competition jury members, making this film an event of great interest to the Japanese film industry. It will be of high quality.
This event, hosted by Filmarks, is being held in cooperation with the Visual Industry Promotion Organization (VIPO), a specified non-profit organization, and will feature Directors’ Fortnight director Julien Regi and Japanese film directors participating in the festival. The producer will be invited to a roundtable-style talk session. (Please note that this event is an invitation-only, closed event.)
