At the time of its establishment, the National Consumer Affairs Center of Japan received approximately 3,000 inquiries about marriage partner introduction services (so-called marriage consultation offices), and there was great concern that the industry would lose credibility. Under these circumstances, JLCA, as a third-party certification body, began issuing the “Malutei Mark” certification in December 2008 based on the “Guidelines for the Certification System for Marriage Partner Introduction Services.” Initially 176 businesses were certified, but as of December 2023, there are approximately 630 businesses certified. JLCA contributes to further improving the reliability of the marriage partner introduction service industry through the certification business of issuing the “Multiple Mark” and the training course business for marriage consultation agencies, and provides safe and secure marriage for consumers seeking marriage.
