Spotunity Co., Ltd. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter referred to as Spotunity), which develops sports specialized crowdfunding to support teams, organizations, and athletes, announced on May 13th a project seeking support from the Osaka Public University Rowing Club (Boating Club). We will implement more.

1. Background and thoughts behind crowdfunding
Two years have passed since the Osaka City University Rowing Club and the Osaka Prefecture University Rowing Club merged and started a new club. Tracing the history of both schools, it is a traditional club that has continued for over 130 years. We have about 40 members, 20 players and 18 managers. My goal for this season is to “win a medal,” which is better than my 4th place finish at the All-Japan University Championships (inter-collegiate championships) last year. This inter-college tournament will be held at the Toda Boat Course in Saitama Prefecture, so approximately 1 million yen will be needed for travel and accommodation expenses for tournament participants and accompanying managers. Most of this cost is covered by the generous support of alumni, but the current situation is that the burden on club members is considerable. For this reason, all club members spend the small amount of time after practice and off days when they can rest their bodies working part-time.
In order to achieve our goal of winning an intercollegiate medal, we need an environment where we can strengthen our team and concentrate on practicing more.
This time, we decided to conduct crowdfunding because we would like to borrow the support of everyone who supports us to achieve our goal of winning a medal at an intercollegiate tournament.
