Iris Festival limited edition “Shibata Castle” castle stamps now on sale *From May 15, 2024 (Wednesday), Shibata Castle, also known as “Ayame Castle,” will receive a castle stamp that will be distributed for a limited time! *

The Shibata City Tourism Association (location: Shibata City, Niigata Prefecture, Chairman: Moriki Kiyota Ina) has produced a limited edition “Shibata Castle” castle stamp for the Iris Festival, and will be releasing it on May 15, 2024.
Sales will start from Sunday (Wednesday).
Shibata Castle
The theme of the newly released castle seal is Shibata Castle in early summer when Shibata City’s flower “iris” blooms.
Shibata Castle is also known as “Iris Castle” because of the irises blooming around it, and the irises are still in full bloom around mid-May.
Shibata Castle and Ayame. The best time to see them is from mid-June to late June.
